VetHealth Global 2015, North America’s premier International Animal Health and Nutrition Business Conference. This bi-annual conference plays an influential role in forging new perspectives on emerging market trends, global regulatory issues, and innovative developments in global companion and food animal health and nutrition. This is the fifth VetHealth Global conference hosted by the Prince Edward Island BioAlliance since 2007. Welcome remarks will be given by PEI Premier Wade MacLauchlan. Roland Klober – Senior Program Officer, Livestock – Production and Markets, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation – delivers Wednesday’s keynote address. “Social License and Food Animal Production” will explore the Gates Foundation focus on animal protein production and the inclusion of the private sector in addressing unmet needs. Another highlight of the conference is Tuesday’s keynote presentation by international journalist, columnist and documentarian Gwynne Dyer. “Geopolitics and International Business” will examine how geopolitical influences are impacting food animal production around the world. A Tuesday panel discussion – “What others think about the animal health sector and why does it matter?” – considers external perspectives affecting regulations and the marketplace.  Presenters include Joseph Harvey, Editor, Animal Pharm, UK; Rob Freeman, Director of Quality Systems, MacDonald’s Restaurants; and Crystal MacKay, Executive Director, Farm and Food Care, Canada. The Innovation Spotlight Series will showcase 13 emerging companies from North America, Europe and Australia with new products and innovative solutions. A full day venture development seminar, focused on leadership and financing for early-stage companies and featuring senior executives from Johns Hopkins, Zoetis, Animalcare, Commerzbank, and CorPsych Partners will precede the Conference.
