As Atlantic Canada’s leading research university, Dalhousie attracts nearly $100 million in research grants and awards annually. The Office of Commercialization and Industry Engagement assists the researchers in commercialization of innovative technologies. The office is also responsible for the commercialization of technology developed by researchers at Dalhousie University. This includes identifying opportunities for technology transfer, assessing intellectual property for market potential, filing patent applications, marketing technology opportunities and negotiating and monitoring license agreements.
