Impactful Health Research and Development (IHRD) develops compostable active packaging to prolong the shelf life of fresh fish, increasing return on investment for the entire value chain while reducing organic waste and plastic pollution. IHRD uses naturally-derived bioproducts to achieve the extension of shelf life. The platform technology developed by IHRD can also be used in other fresh foods including meat and poultry.
